Château Lynch Moussas 2015
Bordeaux - Pauillac - 5e Cru Classé - Red Wine -Château Lynch Moussas 2015 is a 5th Classified Growth of Pauillac property of the Casteja family. The 2015 vintage is a perfect vintage in Bordeaux and Pauillac, the Château Lynch Moussas is no exception to the rule.
The property covers 45 hectares planted with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot on one of Pauillac's richest terroirs. This 2015 vintage comes from a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot.
In a beautiful deep purple color, on the nose we find notes of red fruits (raspberry and strawberry). In the mouth, the wines are light and full-bodied, the tannins are silky and supple, the acidity typical of the 2015 vintage is perfect. The finish is long lingering with beautiful spicy notes

The 2015 Lynch Moussas is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot cropped at 44 hl/ha between 17 September and 1 October. It has a very controlled bouquet at first with tightly wound raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, the oak nicely integrated and some lovely undergrowth aromas surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, the acidity well judged, leading to a spice-tinged finish that lingers long in the mouth. It is a very fine follow-up to the 2014 last year, with a freshness and class that I did not find conveyed ten years ago.
