Château Maucaillou 2014
Bordeaux - Moulis - Cru Bourgeois - Red Wine -The Château Maucaillou, cru Bourgeois, is one of the oldest vineyards of the Médoc located in the municipality of Moulis, in Bordeaux. Owned by the Dourthe family since 1929, the vineyard covers 90 hectares of vineyards located between Saint-Julien and Margaux.
Coming from a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, this 2014 vintage from Château Maucaillou is a great success that we highly recommend!
This wine is adorned with a beautiful dress with purplish reflections. Its nose is a fresh and fruity bouquet with aromas of cassis, raspberry and cherry. In the mouth, the attack is supple and generous, the tannins are fine with pretty spicy notes. The palate is medium-bodied, it is not a dense wine but it offers a sublime length of great finesse. This 2014 vintage has a great aging potential for those who wait.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Think to open it 1 hour before serving it to air it and allow him to reveal its aromas. Enjoy it with barbecue lamb chops for a perfect match.
