Château Montrose 2018 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A great wine from Saint-Estèphe, the 2018 vintage is an important year because it is the beginning of a transition to organic viticulture for the Château. The first tastings predict a very great vintage, a subtle combination of the fruity aromatic profile of the 2009 and the precision of the 2016.
Tasting notes :
The dress: a dark red, intense purple and dense
Nose: reveals delicate and complex aromas of black fruits and white flowers subtly accompanied by smoky notes.
On the palate: we find an ample, powerful and silky attack. A beautiful length and finesse with rich aromas. A racy, elegant wine with great precision, proudly bearing the signature of the terroir.
The suggestion for 12 bottles: Accompany it with red meat or duck foie gras to bring out the best flavours. Serve at 15°C
