Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - Cru Classé - Red Wine -In this 2018 vintage, Château Pape Clément red is a balanced, powerful and rich wine with plenty of freshness.
The grapes produced were ripe, rich and very aromatic.
To the eye, the wine is a ruby-red, almost black colour with violet highlights.
On the nose, a mixture of black fruits and spices emerge.
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, round, fruity and harmonious, finishing with silky tannins.
The blend for the 2018 vintage is 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc.
Aged for 18 months, 90% in new French oak barrels, 10% in tuns.
12bouteilles advice: Leave this bottle in your cellar for a few years, as it will improve with age. If you decide to taste it, decant it at least 6 hours before serving and serve chilled at around 16-16°c. It goes perfectly with red meats, game and cheese platters.
