In this 2019 vintage, Frank Phélan is a wine that we really appreciated.
Always more accessible than Château Phélan Ségur, there is no less to the pretty wine of Saint Estèphe.
The colour is intense red.
The nose is expressive, a concentrate of red fruits and delicate floral notes of old rose.
The mouth is round, fleshy and greedy. A frank attack, the texture of the mid-palate is enveloping and reveals a precise tannic structure.

Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot.

Frank Phélan 2019 aging: for 14 months in oak barrels.

Château Phélan-Ségur, is a Cru Bourgeois Saint-Estèphe. Located on the banks of the Gironde, next to Château Montrose, its 70 hectares of vines are planted with 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. One of the characteristics of this vineyard is a strong Merlot grape variety. These wines are powerful and have created their identity on finesse and elegance.
