Chateau Pichon Baron in this 2020 vintage is a charming wine with all the finesse and power of the great wines of Pauillac.
To the eye, the color is dark purple-black.
The nose, intense, aromatic, gives off notes of black fruits such as blackberry, cherry and blueberry.
On the palate, the wine is of great finesse, full-bodied with magnificent concentration and ripe tannins that are still firm, a lovely aromatic freshness and black fruits complete a lovely long finish.
The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot.
The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 70% in new barrels and 30% in one-wine barrels.
12bottle tip: Château Pichon Baron 2020 is a wine that should wait a few years before reaching maturity. If you decide to taste it, decant the bottle at least 2 hours before tasting, it will go wonderfully with your red meats. Serve chilled at around 16°C
