Bordeaux - Moulis - Cru Bourgeois - Red Wine -The 2021 vintage of Château Poujeaux is remarkably fine. It is a fine bottle in the tradition of the wines produced since the Cuvelier family(Clos Fourtet) took over the property.
To the eye, the colour is purple with violet highlights.
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrant, cherry, followed by smoky and woody notes.
On the palate, the wine's balance charms, the attack is supple and fine. The wine is long and full, with crisp, silky tannins.
This great Moulis wine will delight lovers of charming Médoc wines. A fine bottle to enjoy now and for many years to come..
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
The 2020 vintage was matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, 33% of which were new and 67% of which were one or two wines.
12bouteilles suggestion: Decant the bottle for at least 2 hours and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes perfectly with red meats, cheeses and a fine rib of beef, a real treat.
