On the nose, there are ripe black fruits, then candles, and finally citrus aromas;ripe black fruits, followed by candied and spicy notes
On the palate, we love the generosity of this wine, which develops a beautiful aromatic palette (red and black fruits, sweet spices, toast) with a balanced finish.
Production is low, just 25 hectolitres per hectare. The Tête de Bélier wines are matured in new oak barrels for 18 months before being blended and bottled.
The advice of 12bouteilles: A Languedoc with good ageing potential, to be enjoyed from 2022 to 2035, at a temperature of about 15°C. Decant at least 2 hours before serving.
Located in the commune of Saint-Drézéry, a small village to the north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut boasts around 200 hectares, of which around 100 are in Saint Drézéry. A true benchmark in the Languedoc, the estate produces red, white and rosé wines with strong character and richness.
