Bordeaux - White Bordeaux - Sweet wine -R de Rieussec is a dry white wine from the Rieussec vineyard, located on the left bank of the Garonne in the Sauternes appellation area.
The 2023 vintage was marked by a winter that was wetter than the previous year, but below the usual averages, with two nights of frost causing localised damage with no significant impact on production. The climate then fluctuated between tropical conditions from mid-May to early July, posing a constant challenge, and heatwaves in August and September. Thanks to the richness of the Rieussec terroirs and the good health of the vines, the harvest produced wines of a rare quality, with remarkable balance and purity.

The blend for the 2023 vintage is 56% Sauvignon Blanc and 44% Sémillon.
Between subtlety and freshness, R 2023 has a remarkable purity. Combining aromas of citrus fruit, flowers and white-fleshed fruit, this wine offers a complex aromatic palette, enhanced by barrel ageing. The finesse of the mouthfeel is enhanced by a fine balance between greediness and the bright vivacity of its aromas. The texture is silky and finishes on an elegant, pure note of saline minerality.
A dry white wine with balance and finesse, ideal for drinking now or evolving over the next few years.
We advise you obviously with a foie gras, as an aperitif and even on a fruit dessert!
