The color is intense red with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrant, cherry, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, well-fruited, associated with a lovely freshness and then a beautiful harmonious length.
Assemblage : 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc.
Maturation : 50% in new barrels for 15 months
Chateau Saint Pierre is owned by the Triaud family, who also own Chateau Gloria, its neighbor in Saint Julien.
The 12bottle Advice : This bottle can wait for years in your cellar, but you can enjoy it now, so accessible are the finesse and silky, ripe tannins. Decant at least 6 hours before serving. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
