Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - Cru Classé - Red Wine -Cultivated biodynamically like all the wines of the estate, Château Smith Haut Laffitte red 2015 vintage is ready to drink from now.
The dress: is adorned with a very dark red color, almost black
Nose : reveals a bouquet of black and red fruits, very fresh
The palate: frank, powerful, dense, racy. The tannins are concentrated, unctuous and smooth. They confer a great length and a beautiful texture. We find in mouth the crunchy and ripe fruits accompanied by a spicy touch and for a very beautiful final with floral and mineral notes.
Blend of the 2015 vintage: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
Ageing: 18 months in barrels (60% new barrels made in the Château's cooperage).
Classified for its red and white wines, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte is today one of the greatest Classified Growths of Pessac Léognan. The reds of the 2015 vintage of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte are among the most successful of the Cathiard family.
