Château Sociando Mallet 2013
Bordeaux - Haut Médoc - Red Wine -Château Sociando Mallet 2013 is a superb Haut Médoc, is once again a gem wine from the northen area of the Médoc.
In a vintage considered very difficult in Bordeaux, Château Sociando Mallet 2013 succeeded despite very small volumes a very pleasant vintage.
This 2013 vintage is sweet for a wine that is often rather fresh, rich and of great care, the 2013 is much more friendly to drink at a young age - for the next 7-8 years.
The color is deep ruby / purple. On the palate notes of cassis and blueberry, a touch of wet rock, soft tannins and a moderate structure, it is in no way a very concentrated wine, but it is well made and pure.
Le Monde salutes the success of this difficult vintage:
"The emblematic property located north of St Estèphe has made the smallest production in volume from this difficult vintage. On the palate, the wine is frank, very good constitution, with tension and velvety tannins, where the Merlots dominate more than usual."
The advice of 12bouteilles: excellent value for money, an excellent Haut Médoc, open the 1 hour before tasting, decant it if possible. Serve with a rack of lamb baked in the oven, you will tell us news.
