This 2021 vintage, Château Sociando Mallet is a well-balanced and fresh wine that gains depth on the finish and should be enjoyed with ease.
Sociando Mallet produces wines with long aging potential.
To the eye, the colour is purple with violet highlights
On the nose it is black fruit that emerges, blackcurrant, cherry, then woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, well typed Médoc, combined with good length and freshness. The wine is long and full with ripe tannins.
"Neither classified nor Bourgeois" in the words of Jean Gautreau, this is a great vintage that will be able to sit in your cellar for many years to come ... if you know how to wait!
This great wine appellation Haut Médoc will delight lovers of charming Médoc wines. A fine bottle to enjoy now and for many years to come;
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 54% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc.
The wines were aged in oak barrels for 12 months, 90% in new barrels.
The 12bouteilles's advice : Decant the bottle for at least 2 hours, serve the wine chilled at around 18°c. It will go perfectly with your red meats, cheeses, why not a spicy Italian beef tartare.
