Château Talbot 2018 embodies for many the ideal of Saint Julien
This 2018 vintage marks the centenary of the acquisition of Château Talbot by the Cordier family.
The 2018 vintage has a unique bottle screen-printed with the strong symbolism of the pillars of Talbot's great cellar, evoking in turn roots, vines or trees anchored in the terroir, to illustrate this 100th vintage.
Tasting notes :
The colour is a beautiful, intense dark red
The nose is powerful, with notes of black fruit opening up to more subtle aromas
On the palate, the wine is rich and well-balanced, with crisp tannins and a good deal of personality, for a beautifully harmonious wine.
4th Grand Cru Classé Saint-Julien in the Médoc, Château Talbot extends over 107 hectares of cultivated vines in the commune of Saint-Julien, an outstanding appellation with no fewer than 11 crus classés. Ideally situated on the edge of the Gironde estuary, on ridges of alluvial gravel washed down from the Massif Central by the Dordogne and from the Pyrenees by the Garonne, the terroir of Château Talbot is exceptional.
12Bouteilles suggestion: With its great ageing potential, this magnificent Cru Classé de Saint Julien is sure to find a place of choice in your cellar and on your table.
