Château Talbot 2017

Bordeaux - Saint-Julien - 4e Cru Classé - Red Wine -

Château Talbot, the 4th Grand Cru Classé Saint-Julien in the Médoc, covers 107 hectares of vines under cultivation in the commune of Saint-Julien, an outstanding appellation with no less than 11 classified growths. Ideally situated on the edge of the Gironde estuary on alluvial gravel crests carried from the Massif Central by the Dordogne and from the Pyrenees by the Garonne, the terroir of Château Talbot is exceptional.

Château Talbot 2017 embodies for many the ideal of Saint Julien.

Wine Advocate (Robert Parker) Tasting Notes: 91/100
The 2017 Talbot is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with aromas of cedar, black cherries, mulberries and warm blackcurrants with touches of earth, tree bark and herbs. The palate is medium-bodied, firm, grainy and muscular with an earthy finish.

The 12-bottle suggestion: This magnificent Cru Classé de Saint Julien has great ageing potential and will certainly find a place of choice in your cellar and on your table.
