Château Thivin : La Chapelle 2021
Beaujolais - Côte de Brouilly - Red Wine -This Château Thivin "La Chapelle" 2021 is a magnificent red wine from the Côte de Brouilly appellation, produced by Château Thivin. Made from black Gamay with white juice from various Gamay selection families (average age of the vines: 60 years), the parcel is located at the top of the Brouilly hill, on a dry soil, composed of a blue metamorphic Diorite rock, with a southern exposure.
Tasting notes :
The robe: Intense red with bluish tints.
The nose: Reveals fruity aromas of wild strawberries and blueberries.
The palate: A frank attack in the mouth with fruity and spicy notes.
Château Thivin is one of the oldest estates in the Beaujolais region, in the Côte de Brouilly appellation, it is located in Odenas. Since 1743, the Geoffray family has passed on from generation to generation the passion of the winegrower's profession, the respect of the terroir, the precious know-how and the quest for excellence. Today, the 5th and 6th generations of the Geoffray family manage this small family business, work the vines of the estate and vinify each wine respecting its original terroir throughout the seasons. The vineyards of the domain are mainly on the Crus, Côte-de-Brouilly and Brouilly but they also elaborate cuvées of Beaujolais Blanc, Rosé and effervescent, resulting from the most magnificent vineyards of Beaujolais.
Serving suggestions of 12bouteilles: To be served between 14°C and 16°C, it will perfectly accompany a Bresse poultry with cream or a duck breast. This wine has the potential of keeping for 10 to 15 years.
