Château Troplong Mondot 2016
Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -Château Troplong Mondot, 1st Grand Cru Classé, is an area of 33 hectares located in Saint Emilion, the most famous appellation of the right bank of Bordeaux, neighbor to the castle Pavie Saint Emilion, Grand Cru Classé "A". Derived from a blend of mostly Merlot with touches of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, this 2016 vintage of Château Troplong Mondot is already applauded by the tasters, including James Suckling who gave him the excellent rating of 96-97 / 100.
This Château Troplong Mondot 2016 is adorned with a beautiful deep red color. Its nose is a pure and floral bouquet with intense and complex fragrances.
The attack is soft and velvety, the palate is fruity with aromas of licorice and raspberry. The tannins are dense, silky with a lot of finesse and a beautiful depth. The finish is long, tasty and spicy.
A superb vintage both powerful and melting.
The advice of 12bouteilles: A delicious Saint-Emilion to keep a few years in the cellar. Open at least 1 hour before serving it, it will accompany a Pigeon casserole or a good red meat.
