The colour is an intense red.
The nose is expressive, a concentration of red fruit, then a very elegant woodiness takes over.
The palate is generous, fleshy and greedy. Fresh on the attack, the mid-palate texture is enveloping and reveals a precise tannic structure.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 85% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc.
The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Château Troplong Mondot is a 33-hectare 1er Grand Cru Classé B de Saint Emilion overlooking the village of Saint-Émilion.
