CLOS DES FEES - « Le Clos des Fées » 2020
Languedoc - Côtes du Roussillon - Red Wine -Clos des fées 2020 is the signature cuvée of Hervé Bizeul's eponymous Domaine in Vingrau.
This great Languedoc wine is a blend of 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache blanc, 15% Carignan and 10% Mourvèdre, the 2020 vintage of " Clos des Fées" is a superb vintage for the Languedoc region, both powerful and full of fruit.
Tasting notes - Clos des Fées 2020:
Color: Black, opaque color
Nose: Complex nose, on spices and vanilla, evolving with aeration, changing aromatic range over time. Intense, rich, ripe fruit, nuances of vanilla and spice due to the perfectly integrated ageing in new oak
Mouth: Dense mouthfeel, impressive volume, a sensation of "pulp", combined with a unique finesse and silkiness of texture. Powerful, soft, refined tannins, fresh, long finish. Already delicious must be decanted.
" Le Clos des Fées " is the signature cuvée of Domaine du Clos des Fées, crafted in AOC Côtes du Roussillon Villages by Hervé Bizeul.
12bottle tip: Delicious in the year following bottling, if you like young, powerful wines and take care to decant it beforehand. It gradually acquires its mature character while retaining its fruit (aging potential 8 to 15 years). Please decant absolutely at least 2 hours before and serve between 16°C and 18°C.
This great Languedoc wine will sublimate a duck breast, game or a piece of red meat.
