Coulée de Serrant : Les Vieux Clos 2022
Loire - Savennieres coulée de serrant - White Wine -This very beautiful vintage "Les Vieux Clos" comes from a 5.5 hectares plot on steep slopes, and benefits from the same attentive care as the Coulée-de-Serrant. During this 2022 vintage, we find lovely aromas of very ripe yellow fruits and dried fruits on the nose and we discover an Intense and powerful palate, offering beautiful complexity and a remarkable finish.
Tasting note :
The color : Golden yellow
The nose : Delicate, with floral, white fruit and citrus aromas.
The palate : A fresh, expressive, mineral and very supple attack.
The 12bouteilles advice : This wine deserves to be forgotten for a few years in the cellar, or for the more impatient, opened 24 to 48 hours before tasting with a decanter; ideally drunk between 2026 and 2031, it goes perfectly with veal blanquette, poultry with morels, chicken in Angevine, lobster in sauce or very dry goat's cheese.
A pioneer of biodynamics, Nicolas Joly is an emblematic figure of the Loire, now supported by his daughter Virginie. At the top of their art, rewarded with 2 stars in the RVF Guide, they produce great white wines with rich ingredients, capable of very long aging.
An icon of world viticulture, Coulée de Serrant is one of the greatest white wines in the world, now the sole representative of its eponymous appellation. Entirely cultivated biodynamically for 40 years, the estate produces the most complex and mysterious wine there is, which only really delivers after several years of aging.
