Delas : Côte-Rôtie 2021 - Seigneur de Maugiron
Rhone Valley - Côte-Rôtie - Red Wine -This Côte-Rôtie 2021 vintage Seigneur de Maugiron is a great wine from Maison Delas. This cuvée comes from vines located on the Brown and Blonde coasts of the appellation.
To the eye, the dress is very dark purple. On the nose, the Côte-Rôtie “Seigneur de Maugiron” is between power and finesse, marked by aromas of blackcurrant, redcurrant and licorice supported by a woody note. This wine, is structured with tight tannins, presents a balance and a silky texture.
It extends over Saint Cyr sur Rhône, Ampuis and Tupin-Semons, on the right bank of the Rhône, in the Rhône department. Cuvée tribute to the Lord of Maugiron who shared his property between his two daughters, one brunette and the other blonde, hence the names given to the wines, "Côte Brune" and "Côte Blonde".
The grapes used in the “Seigneur de Maugiron” cuvée are harvested by hand, terroir by terroir, at optimum maturity. Aging is carried out entirely in barrels for 14 months in 50% in new oak barrels, 50% in 1 year barrels.
The advice of 12bouteilles: All the finesse of the great wines of the Côte-Rôtie in a cuvée made from a blend of plots of brown and blonde Côtes. Meat, roast beef, waterfowl, truffles, spicy stew. It is recommended to open the bottle one to three hours before consumption, and decant if the aging has exceeded five years.
