Domaine Alain Graillot La Guiraude Crozes-Hermitage 2022
Rhone Valley - Crozes-Hermitage - Red Wine -Alain Graillot, an exceptional winemaker and former engineer, clearly played a key role in the heyday of great organic wines, so much so that many of his cuvées are now increasingly difficult to find.
Since his recent death, his sons Antoine and Maxime Graillot are now in charge of all the winemaking at the winery, which covers more than 20 hectares.
This magnificent Crozes-Hermitage, La Guiraude 2022 from Domaine Alain Graillot is a cuvée made from the best selected barrels of each vintage. The grapes are vinified whole, with cold maceration and a long vatting period. Malolactic fermentation takes place in vats. The wine is made from 100% Syrah.
Tasting notes of the 2022 vintage
The colour is garnet red, intense and dense,
The nose is complex with notes of black fruit and spices.
On the palate, the wine has a powerful texture with firm, perfectly integrated tannins.
