Burgundy - Bourgogne Aligoté - White Wine -This Bourgogne Aligoté 2020 is a cuvée signed by Pierre Boisson, the son of Bernard Boisson who manages today with his sister Anne the wines of the family domain. He inherited 3.5 hectares of vines that he works in reasoned culture, without weedkiller and favouring ploughing. Made from a parcel of old vines located in Meursault, this wine highlights the second white grape variety of Burgundy, Aligoté.
Tasting notes:
The robe: bright yellow
The nose: expressive of citrus fruits, white peach, lime and a mineral touch
The mouth: freshness, nice balance between roundness and vivacity as well as a nice fruity finish
The advice of 12bouteilles: To be served between 10°C-12°C, it will perfectly accompany dishes such as noble fishes like sea bass, sole or beautiful poultry like Bresse chicken.
Located in Meursault, Domaine Boisson-Vadot is a hidden gem that every wine lover loves to explore. Following the retirement of Bernard Boisson in 2016, the estate is now shared between his two children: Anne and Pierre. Both produce exceptional wines under their own names, bringing a touch of novelty while respecting the values established by their father.
Pierre Boisson owns 3.5 hectares of vines, including the famous "Les Charrons" and "Monthélie" plots. He chooses to age his vintages for a long time in old barrels in order not to mark the wine.
As for Anne Boisson, she owns 1.5 ha of vines spread over the villages of Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. Her heritage allows her to become a true ambassador of the new generation of Meursault winegrowers. She produces mainly white wines in the Bourgogne Aligoté appellation as well as Meursault Premier Cru.
