Pierre Boisson : Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge 2022
Burgundy - Haute Côte de Beaune - Red Wine -Pierre Boisson's Haute Côtes de Beaune Rouge 2022 is a true success combining freshness, minerality and complexity. Definitely a wine with an impressive price-quality ratio. Pierre Boisson owns 3.5 hectares of vines located in Meursault that he works in reasoned culture, without weedkillers and favours ploughing. This cuvée made entirely from Pinot Noir is under the regional appellation Hautes Côtes de Beaune planted at the top of the hillside.
Tasting notes:
The robe: Garnet
The nose: a complex bouquet of red fruits, violet and nuances of liquorice
The palate: crisp and juicy with a finish full of greediness
The advice of 12bouteilles: It will also go perfectly with red meat cooked on the barbecue, a very beautiful wine for the summer!
Located in Meursault, Domaine Boisson-Vadot is a hidden gem that every wine lover loves to explore. Following the retirement of Bernard Boisson in 2016, the estate is now shared between his two children: Anne and Pierre. Both produce exceptional wines under their own names, bringing a touch of novelty while respecting the values established by their father.
Pierre Boisson owns 3.5 hectares of vines, including the famous "Les Charrons" and "Monthélie" plots. He chooses to age his vintages for a long time in old barrels in order not to mark the wine.
As for Anne Boisson, she owns 1.5 ha of vines spread over the villages of Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. Her heritage allows her to become a true ambassador of the new generation of Meursault winegrowers. She produces mainly white wines in the Bourgogne Aligoté appellation as well as Meursault Premier Cru.
