Domaine de Chevalier 2014 Red

Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - Cru Classé - Red Wine -

The Domaine de Chevalier, flagship product of the Pessac Léognan appellation, belongs to the elite Grands Crus Classés of Bordeaux. Located in Léognan, capital of the Graves, the Domaine de Chevalier is of very ancient origin. Made from a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot grapes.

This 2014 vintage Domaine de Chevalier red has an elegant nose expressing in the freshness of black fruits such as cherries and blackcurrants. The agitation is on the same register, enriched with balsamic touches (cedar) with delicate wood.

This red wine from Domaine de Chevalier has a lot of elegance, charm and finesse.

The advice of 12bouteilles: This great wine is to decant and decant 1 to 2 hours before tasting.

Wine Advocate-Parker : 94/100

The 2014 Domaine de Chevalier has a wonderful bouquet with pure blackberry, raspberry coulis and iodine-tinged aromas that seem to envelop the senses. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, superb acidity and a sense of symmetry that is uncommon in the 2014 vintage. This is a sophisticated, precise wine from Olivier Bernard that could be one of top wines of the vintage. There is an approachability to this Domaine de Chevalier, which you do not always find, however I would be inclined to give this 3-4 years in bottle.
