Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - Cru Classé - Red Wine -Domaine de Chevalier in this 2020 vintage is one of the successes of the vintage in the appellation Pessac Léognan.
The wines have great finesse and elegance.
The nose gives off aromas of red fruit such as strawberry and black fruit such as cherry, then scents of undergrowth and vanilla take over.
This Domaine de Chevalier red 2020 is certainly a fine bottle to keep in the cellar for at least 10 years to reach full maturity.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
Maturing for the 2020 vintage was 18 months in French oak barrels, 1/3 of which were new.
The 12bottle suggestion : To be decanted at least 2 hours before drinking, this still young wine will be the perfect accompaniment to white meats, poultry and cheese platters.
