Domaine de Torraccia Rouge Bio 2018
Corse - Red Wine -The 2018 vintage of Domaine de Torracia Rouge stands out from other Corsican wines by its freshness and finesse on the palate. Fruity and vegetal, with aromas reminiscent of the maquis, it is the ideal companion for your fried vegetables and grilled meats.
Tasting notes:
The Dress: sublime garnet-colored dress with beautiful clarity
The Nose: a fruity nose with aromas evoking the scents of the neighboring maquis and red fruits.
The palate : In the mouth, this wine offers roundness with melted, delicious and velvety tannins.
The 12bouteilles advice : This Corsican wine goes perfectly with grilled meats, Bonifacienne-style eggplant or grilled duck. To be served between 16 and 18°C, it has an aging capacity of 10 years.
This wine is made from grape varieties including 50% Niellucciu, 30% Grenache, 10% Sciaccarellu and 10% Syrah.
The grape varieties are co-fermented at a temperature of 26 to 30°C with natural yeasts, then racked off by gravity. Aging takes place in semi-buried concrete vats with minimal interventions, followed by light filtration before bottling.
Domaine Torraccia, created in 1964 by Christian Imbert, is a family story whose 43 hectares of plots extend between land and mountains in Corsica. A pioneer in organic farming, Christian Imbert planted the first vines in place of the maquis with the objective of producing quality wines, by selecting grape varieties typical of the region and fighting for the recognition of Corsican AOCs. Today, his son Marc Imbert continues the family traditions, cultivating the vines manually and without pesticides.
