Burgundy - Rully - 1er Cru - White Wine -This 2019 Rully 1er Cru Blanc "Cloux" is a great Burgundy white wine produced by Domaine de Villaine. It is grown on a steep slope whose inclination makes it one of the most beautiful climates of the Rully Appellation. Fresh and intense this white wine is perfectly balanced between mineral notes, a fine mouthfeel and salinity.
Tasting notes :
The robe: A beautiful bright yellow and green colour
The nose: full, airy aromas slightly spicy and citrus peel
The palate: saline and the flavours are rich and sparkling. The finish is precise, almost mineral, prolonged by light notes of bitterness
Located between the villages of Santenay in the Côte d'Or and Rully and Mercurey in the Côte Chalonnaise, the Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron. The first village of the Côte Chalonnaise south of Beaune, it is certified organic since 1986. The vines are cultivated on hillsides between 270 and 350 meters altitude. The thin soils with a high limestone content, of these hillsides, ensure good control of the yields and the warm microclimate favours the ripening of the grapes.
The advice of 12bouteilles: To be served around 12°C - 14°C, this white wine will perfectly accompany white meats or hard cheeses. It can be appreciated now or fully in the next 3-5 years.
