Domaine de Villaine : Bouzeron 2022
Burgundy - Bouzeron - White Wine -This Bouzeron 2022 is a lovely white wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine de la Villaine. From very old Aligoté vines located on the best slopes of the Bouzeron appellation. They were traditionally so-called "golden" varieties which, as opposed to the so-called "green" types, give smaller yields and finer aromatic wines. It is a lively and fruity wine displaying a finesse and a "fullness" which is due to the authentic character of the terroir.
Tasting notes:
The color: yellow color with golden highlights
The nose: gives off pretty lemony and floral aromas
The palate: releases notes of green apple and almond well defined by a fresh and non-aggressive acidity. Nice balance between roundness and saline minerality with some notes of wild herbs.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Serve around 12°C, it is a perfect wine as an aperitif or with seafood, fish and many cheeses such as goat's cheese, Cantal, Beaufort, Parmesan and Roquefort.
Enjoy its fresh and fruity qualities by drinking it young, in its first two to three years. Then, with time, the wine takes on "fat", roundness and has a potential to keep for around ten years.
Located between the villages of Santenay in Côte d'or and Rully and Mercurey in Côte Chalonnaise, Le Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron. The first village on the Côte Chalonnaise south of Beaune, it has been certified organic since 1986. The vines are cultivated on hillsides between 270 and 350 meters above sea level. The lean soils with a high limestone content on these hillsides ensure good yield control and the warm microclimate favors the ripening of the grapes.
