Loire - Saumur Champigny - Red Wine -Domaine des Closiers - Trézellières 2020 is the grand cuvée of Domaine des Closiers. It is the nugget that shows the full potential of this immense Saumur Champigny terroir and the great Cabernet Francs of the Loire;
As in 2019, the cuvée was aged for 24 months in barriques, then bottled for 12 months, to be released in January 2024 with a wine that will flourish for years in the cellar! A rare and grandiose bottle bearing the signature of the Domaine, Anatole de la Brosse and the advice of Nady Foucault.
Tasting notes - Domaine des Closiers - Trézellières 2020
Robe: intense red
Nose: fine, elegant, floral, with hints of black fruit and spices
Mouth: wild fruit and berries, spices. Balanced, satiny and impressively long. The tannins are mellow and firm, a sign of this cuvée's immense ageing potential, and further enhance the wine's structure.
Advice of 12bottles : Domaine des Closiers - Trézellières 2020 can be enjoyed young provided it is decanted at least 2h before tasting, we recommend keeping it 5 or 10 years to appreciate the incredible finesse of these Loire Cabernet Francs.... Nugget.
Nady Foucault (Clos Rougeard) advises the domaine in the elaboration of its first vintages with a perfect price/pleasure ratio. A domaine coup de coeur that will undoubtedly be among the reference domains of in a few years.
Domaine des Closiers is committed to developing biodiversity. This work has been rewarded with the Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE 3) label. The vines are protected without pesticides or insecticides, and harvested entirely by hand. The vineyard has begun its conversion to organic and biodynamic farming.
