Discover the prestigious Clos des Lambrays 2022, an emblematic Grand Cru of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, this wine reflects the excellence of the terroir and the expertise of the domaine.
The 2022 vintage, the estate's first organically-farmed vintage, benefited from ideal weather conditions. A mild spring followed by a sunny summer ensured perfect ripening of the grapes. The harvest was of the highest quality, promising an exceptional vintage. Vinification is carried out with 80% whole grapes, and the wine is aged for 19 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
Tasting notes:
Appearance: Beautiful deep ruby color with purple highlights.
Nose: Complex aromatic bouquet, very floral with spicy nuances.
Palate: Elegant, silky attack. Hints of spices and black fruits that will reveal themselves in the years to come.
12bouteilles advice: This wine can be enjoyed from 2029 onwards and kept for over 20 years. Serve at a temperature of 16°C, with grilled red meat or pressed cheeses.
Domaine des Lambrays is located at an altitude of 250m in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis. Clos des Lambrays is one of four Grands Crus in the commune. It is owned almost exclusively by Domaine des Lambrays. Only red wine is produced here, on an area of 8.30 hectares, with a single grape variety, Pinot Noir. Initially a Premier Cru, it became a Grand Cru in 1981. Bought by the LVMH group in 2014, significant financial and human resources have been put in place for the estate. Notably in 2019 with the arrival of Jacques Devauges, who is implementing plot-based work and a switch to biodynamic viticulture to further advance the quality of the wines.
