Télégramme is a great wine from the Brunier family, owners of the Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. For its creation, the Brunier family used the production of young vines less than 30 years old, as well as older plots not located on the Crau and Piedlong plateaux. Vinified and matured in truncated cone vats, Télégramme offers a rich, concentrated and structured style with great depth, elegance and structure.
This 2022 vintage is a pure marvel made from a blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 6% Mourvèdre and 4% Cinsault.
Tasting notes :
Colour: deep ruby red
Nose: notes of red strawberry-raspberry fruit with delicate hints of lavender and garrigue.
The Palate: Aromas of black raspberries and white flowers, giving way to fine mineral notes and white pepper.
A beautifully textured 2022 with fine tannins, plenty of depth and a good finish.
12bouteilles advice: a Châteauneuf-du-Pape dominated largely by Grenache, which gives it a suppleness and roundness all its own. Best enjoyed young. Rare value for money for a perfect vintage from 2022. Perfect to enjoy in its youth.
Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, the flagship of Vignobles Brunier, is a key reference in the Rhône Valley. It produces just four wines: Le Vieux Télégraphe red and white, made from the oldest vines and the most complex cuvées, and Le Télégramme red and white, considered to be the second wines of Vignobles Brunier in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC. For more than a century, the Brunier family has been making Châteauneuf-du-Pape reds and whites steeped in their terroir, preserving the authenticity of their vintages in the face of modern trends.
