Languedoc - IGP Pays d'Oc - Red Wine -Figure Libre Cabernet Franc is a red Pays d'Oc wine, "liberated" from the constraints of the appellation but the expression of what the terroir could do best.
This 100% Cabernet Franc 2021 vintage is a perfectly balanced wine, matured in oak casks and tuns, and is elegant.
The intense purple colour with red highlights.
The nose, delicately caramelised, heralds a totally mastered maturation in oak casks. On aeration, this Cabernet Franc expresses itself with a lovely varietal intensity: raspberry, blackcurrant, green pepper, ...and a few mentholated notes.
The palate is fresh and vegetal with tannins still present and notes of roasted cocoa.
The wine was matured 80% in oak barrels, of which 20% were new barrels and 60% in one- and two-wine barrels, with the remaining 20% in wooden vats.
The advice of 12Bouteilles: Open this beautiful bottle at least 2 hours before serving. It goes perfectly with grilled red meat, a cheese platter or even as an aperitif with a charcuterie platter.
