Génot-Boulanger: Chambolle Musigny 2017
Burgundy - Chambolle-Musigny - Village - Red Wine -The 2017 vintage is one of the great years of the decade in Chambolle-Musigny and more generally for the Burgundy vineyard. Marked by very favorable climatic conditions, the harvest was very satisfactory both in terms of quality and maturity of the fruit and in terms of quantity. A vintage full of fruit and freshness.
This Chambolle Musigny 2017 from Domaine Génot-Boulanger is a great red wine from Burgundy, full of finesse and aromatic intensity. The name of the commune comes from Campus Ebolliens which means "Boiling Field", characterizing the liveliness of the river that runs through the commune. The cuvée is the fruit of two parcels located on the localities of "les Nazoires" and "les Mombies" of a total surface of 0.76 hectare.
Through a very low interventionist approach, the Domaine Génot-Boulanger likes to let the natural character of the terroir and the vintage express itself through its wine. This translates into a manual harvest, a pressing of grapes in whole bunches, no sulfiting of the musts before fermentation, a fermentation that is only the fruit of indigenous yeasts .
Tasting comments:
The dress: garnet with ruby reflections
The nose: on the red fruit (strawberry, currant, cranberry)
The mouth: fresh, greedy, full-bodied supported by velvety tannins and a great finesse
The advice of 12bouteilles:
The wines of Chambolle-Musigny are often considered the most feminine of the Côte de Nuits, marked by their intensity, finesse and subtlety. Ready to drink or to keep, this great Burgundy wine is the perfect accompaniment for game birds, a dish in sauce or a white meat.
