Burgundy - Meursault - 1er Cru - White Wine -This Meursault 1er Cru "Clos du Cromi" 2020 is a sublime 100% Chardonnay organic white wine produced by Domaine Génot-Boulanger in Burgundy. This parcel of Chardonnay, planted in the 1990s, is located to the south-west of the village and faces south-east. The terroir has a steep slope and shallow blond clay-limestone soils.
Tasting notes :
Colour: pale gold with green highlights.
Nose: an aroma of white-fleshed yellow fruit, reminiscent of white peach, with hints of citrus.
The palate: a sensual sensation, with generous volume and a pleasant freshness on the palate.
The 12bouteilles advice : This great wine is an ideal accompaniment to foie gras, fish, grilled shellfish or shellfish in sauce, etc. Serve it at a temperature of between 11 and 13°C.
This sublime cuvée is made from 100% Chardonnay.
This wine comes from deep, fairly clayey soils. It was matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which were new, and the grapes were pressed whole.
Domaine Génot-Boulanger is a sublime vineyard planted in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in Meursault. Domaine Génot Boulanger was founded in 1974 by a family of Parisian pharmacists whose ambition was to create an estate in one of Burgundy's leading wine-growing regions. Charles-Henri Génot and his wife, Marie (née) Boulanger, bought their first parcel of vines at the time.
