Jean-Michel Gérin : Côte-Rôtie, Côte-Bodin 2022

Rhone Valley - Côte-Rôtie - Red Wine -

Côte Rôtie, Cuvée Côte-Bodin 2022 is Jean Michel Gerin's plot-based cuvée. This parcel-based cuvée is being released for the first time with the 2018 vintage.

Following the acquisition of this parcel, which has been farmed by the estate for 30 years, this new cuvée parcellaire from Maison Gérin is a magnificent 100% Syrah produced in very limited quantities.

Planted 30 years ago by Jean-Michel, this schist terroir is the latest addition to our Côte-Rôtie family.

Tasting notes:

Appearance: deep purple

Nose: Intense dark fruit, chocolate, pepper and licorice aromas.

Palate: rich and complex, with present but silky tannins and a fresh, long finish.

12bouteilles advice: It's hard to miss out on the estate's latest creation, a newcomer born under the sign of the conversion to organic farming begun by the estate in 2020! We recommend pairing it with dishes such as poultry or game! Keep it for a few years!

About the domaine: Jean Michel Gérin comes from a family of winemakers who have been established in the Côte Rôtie for 6 generations. He is one of the Rhône's great names that we are proud to distribute. His Côtes Rôties, Saint Josephs and Condrieus are all among the Rhône Valley's most precise and finely-crafted reference cuvées.
