Loire - Sancerre - White Wine -The plot cuvée "Les Herses" is produced by the famous Domaine Mathias Planchon located in La Loire in Sancerre. Les Herses is a two-hectare vineyard composed of clay and flint, located in Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre. Planchon owns 0.98 hectares there, part of which is planted with Pinot Noir, with a south-east exposure.
Tasting notes:
The color: intense straw yellow color
The nose: the nose is very expressive, revealing aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, white tea, as well as exotic notes of pineapple and guava, citric, herbaceous, mineral touches, petrichor and a hint of mint.
The palate : On the palate, it is juicy with ripe fruit, powerful and with a clear and complex depth. Its creamy texture is lightly influenced by wood, offering a blend of flowers, white currants, crisp apples and pears, with notes of stone and smoke, and precise, clean acidity.
The 12bouteilles advice: To be enjoyed at a serving temperature of 10°C, this wine goes perfectly with a shrimp and leek quiche, glass noodles with spring vegetables briefly sautéed in a wok
This sublime vintage is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc (100%).
The wine is aged on fine lees in the same containers, for a variable period depending on the vintage, generally between ten and twelve months on average. Bottling then takes place according to the lunar cycle.
