Loire - Sancerre - Red Wine -The plot cuvée "Les Herses" is produced by the famous Domaine Mathias Planchon located in La Loire in Sancerre. Les Herses is a two-hectare vineyard composed of clay and flint, located in Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre. Planchon owns 0.98 hectares there, part of which is planted with Pinot Noir, with a south-east exposure.
Tasting notes:
The color: a light and translucent cherry red, embodying both elegance and transparency.
The nose: a captivating bouquet of cherries, cherry stones, foliage, and delicate notes of wild Mediterranean herbs, expressing pure finesse.
Taste: A blend of elegance and juicy finesse, with a refined tannin structure, enriched with mineral and saline notes, and enlivened by an invigorating acidity, ending with a captivating finish.
The 12bouteilles advice: The ideal serving temperature is 16 to 18°C, with a cellaring potential until 2027. This wine goes perfectly with a nice piece of grilled veal, a pan of potatoes and mushrooms stir-fries, or simply a nice selection of cold cuts.
This sublime cuvée is made exclusively from Pinot Noir (100%).
Careful production combining whole and destemmed grapes, with cold maceration, must fermentation and malolactic fermentation in ceramic vats and wooden barrels, bottled in harmony with the lunar cycle.
