The 2021 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 93%, Cabernet Franc 4%, Petit Verdot 2%, Merlot 0.5%, Malbec 0.5%
In the pure style of great Bordeaux wines, Opus One 2021 is aged for 19 months in French oak (100% new barrels).
Tasting notes:
Robe: Very beautiful fragrances. Complex, deep, harmonious bouquet.
Nose: Red, blue and black fruits. Masterfully matured, tobacco leaf, eucalyptus, cocoa bean.
Palate: racy. Very well-defined Cabernet Sauvignon. Precise tannins, sustained energy. Fresh, salivating finish, long aftertaste.
12Bouteilles' advice: Opus One 2021 is one of the great vintages of Opus one. In a few years, it will sublimate a piece of red meat, game or a cheese platter. Open the wine a few hours before serving and serve at around 16°C to 18°C.
