Domaine Rémi Jobard : Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières 2019
Burgundy - Meursault - 1er Cru - White Wine -The Meursault 1er cru "Les Genevrières" from Domaine Rémi Jobard takes its name from the juniper trees that once grew on the peaks of the Côte de Beaune, and consists of rocky soils with a small amount of clay and limestone. Fermentation and aging take place in Austrian barrels, 25% new for 12 months. A wine that combines finesse, elegance and complexity.
The Domaine Rémi Jobard, wishes to produce precise and exquisite wines, this made him make some changes since 1991 and his takeover of the domain: the work of the vineyard was done entirely by hand, and the yield was strongly reduced. He opened the vineyard to the way of organic farming. This series of changes brought the necessary fresh air to the Domaine and its wines. In a few years, Rémi Jobard has changed his Meursault vineyard and provided fine wines.
Tasting notes:
The dress: is adorned with a magnificent yellow color.
The nose : reveals aromas of yellow and white fruits accompanied by smoky and spicy notes in an unctuous brioche
The palate: one finds a beautiful balance on a remarkable freshness, the wine is ample and suave, lengthening on a long final
The advice of 12bouteilles: It will go perfectly as an aperitif, with fish or seafood. Serve it around 10-12°C.
