Burgundy - Meursault - 1er Cru - White Wine -This Meursault 1er cru "Les Genevrières" 2021 is a 100% organic Chardonnay produced by Domaine Rémi Jobard. It takes its name from the juniper trees that used to grow on the peaks of the Côte de Beaune and is composed of rocky soil with a small amount of clay and limestone. Fermentation and ageing take place in Austrian barrels, 25% new for 12 months. A wine that combines finesse, elegance and complexity.
Tasting notes :
The robe : It has a magnificent yellow colour.
The nose : notes of ripe fruits such as pear and peach blend harmoniously with subtle accents of dried fruits and honey. Nuances of vanilla and toast provide additional aromatic complexity, the result of precisely controlled aging in oak barrels.
The palate : This sublime vintage reveals all its richness and power. Its velvety texture envelops the palate, offering a creamy and generous sensation. The intense flavors of yellow-fleshed fruits are fully expressed, accompanied by an elegant minerality. The balance between acidity and roundness is perfectly balanced, giving the wine remarkable harmony. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a pleasant sensation of freshness and complexity.
The 12bouteilles advice : It will go perfectly with fish. Serve it around 10-12°C.
