This Burgundy 2022, cuvée “Les Jardins de Marie et Léa” is produced by Domaine Robert Groffier, in the Burgundy appellation. Tasting notes:
Appearance: garnet-red
Nose: notes of ripe red fruit, with hints of licorice and pepper.
Palate: rich, unctuous, with a fine aromatic palette and a persistent finish.
12Bouteilles advice: This wine can be enjoyed young and kept for over 10 years. Serve at a temperature of 15°C, with duck breast, or poultry.
Domaine Robert Groffier et Fils was founded in the 19th century by Frédéric Groffier. The vineyards are located in the communes of Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, in the Côte de Nuits. Each generation is committed to exploiting the terroir with the highest respect for the soil and nature. Since 2005, Nicolas Groffier has run the family domaine. He practises meticulous viticulture, working vine by vine. All this enables the domaine to produce great wines for laying down, requiring around ten years in the cellar to reveal their full taste potential.
