Domaine Tempier - Bandol Rosé 2023
Provence - Bandol - Rosé wine -Discover Domaine Tempier Rosé vintage 2023. This great Bandol appellation wine is a blend of several grape varieties: 50% Mourvèdre, 28% Grenache and 20% Cinsault, 2% Carignan. Several parcels in cooler parts of the vineyard are highlighted in this wine. The terroir is composed of clay-limestone and marl-sand soils. Aged for 8 months in inox vats , with cold pellicular maceration or direct pressing followed by cold racking, this is a great white wine for ageing in Provence.
Tasting notes:
Robe: Sublime salmon color
Nose: Beautiful notes of ripe red fruit.
Palate: Juicy and greedy on the palate, with aromas of ripe strawberries and raspberries. Peppery, minty notes on the finish.
12bouteilles advice: This Bandol from Domaine Tempier is one of the finest gastronomic rosé wines in the South of France. Pleasant and invigorating, it goes perfectly with a variety of spicy dishes. You can drink it young or cellar it for 2 to 5 years.
At Domaine Tempier, the key words are conviviality, simplicity and know-how, so that everyone is committed to producing great Bandol wines. Working in biodynamic viticulture since 2013, Daniel Ravier is now the estate manager. At Tempier, respect for terroir and plants is a priority. The fifty hectares of vineyards are located in the heart of the Bandol appellation, divided into several parcels. The vines are old, and sometimes very old, the objective being quality, not quantity.
