Domaine Thierry Mortet : Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Beaux Bruns" 2022
Burgundy - Chambolle-Musigny - 1er Cru - Red Wine -This Chambolle-Musigny Les Beaux Bruns 2022 is a very great organic red wine from Burgundy, 100% Pinot Noir in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation. Made from a single parcel of 35-year-old vines, planted on clay-limestone soils with a very fine clay texture, it is aged in new barrels, 30% of which are new, before being bottled. It is a sublime red wine, among the finest terroirs of the region and according to the principles of organic farming.
Tasting notes:
The robe: pretty deep purple dress
The Nose: complex, combining notes of small red fruits with aromas of rose and peony.
The Palate: The attack is ample and generous, the structure is still slightly tight on the finish. Great aging potential!
The 12bouteilles advice : This wine for aging, with an aging potential of more than 7 years, is ideally enjoyed at a serving temperature of 16-18°C, and goes perfectly with white and red meats, grilled or roasted, meats in brown or light sauce, as well as cheeses.
Domaine Thierry Mortet was founded in 1992 following the dissolution of Domaine Mortet Charles & Fils, which was owned by Thierry's father and shared between him and his brother Denis. Today they exploit an area of 8.5 hectares located in the centre of the village of Gevrey Chambertin between Dijon and Nuits-Saint-Georges where the work of the vine is carried out through reasoned agriculture. The domain aims to offer elegant wines of limited production, which express with sincerity the characteristics of the variety of the greatest terroirs of Burgundy.
