The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot vintage comes from two distinct localities: Brussonnes and Fairendes. The Brussonnes plot, planted in 1986, constitutes a recent addition to the Morgeot vintage, starting from the 2005 vintage. As for the Fairendes vines, half of them were planted in 1964 and the other half in 1974.

The palate: in tasting, this wine stands out for its great aromatic precision and its generous volume, perfectly balanced by the mineral tension which gives it remarkable harmony.
The 12bouteilles advice: To reveal all its splendor, taste Thomas Morey's Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot at an ideal temperature of 12-13°C. This wine pairs superbly with Bresse chicken with cream or grilled salmon on one side.

Thomas Morey represents the tenth generation of the Morey family in Chassagne-Montrachet. After witnessing the winemaking activity of his grandparents, then that of his parents, where he worked for 12 years, he made the decision, in 2006, to found his own estate with his wife Sylvie. The Thomas Morey estate marked its beginnings with its first vintage in 2007.
The history of the Moreys in Chassagne-Montrachet dates back to the middle of the 17th century, when Claude Morey settled in this village in 1643. Originally from Paris-l'Hôpital, a small town in Saône-et-Loire near Chassagne-Montrachet, he and his numerous descendants devoted themselves to the professions of winegrowers, coopers and foudriers.
