E. Guigal : Saint-Joseph 2019
Rhone Valley - Saint-Joseph - Red Wine -E. Guigal's 2019 Saint Joseph is a superb value from the star house of the Rhone Valley. Made in the Saint-Joseph appellation, this nugget is a wise choice for your table: Small black fruits and noble tannins allow this wine to represent this rising Northern Rhône Appellation with dignity.
The Syrah grapes come from vines between 20 and 50 years old, grown mostly in the communes of Tournon, Mauves and Sarras, in limestone and granitic sandy-stony soils.
Tasting notes:
The robe: Dark red with purple reflections.
The nose: Powerful nose with red fruits and delicate wood aromas.
The palate: The attack is frank and on the fruit. The tannins are rather round and supple.
12bouteilles advice: Saint-Joseph 2019 has excellent ageing potential, it is perfect to taste in its young years. It goes perfectly with a dish of meats or cheeses.
