Saint Peray version longue 2022 is a plot-based cuvée made from 100% Marsanne.

Like all the house wines, this cuvée is a perfect reflection of its terroir and is one of the benchmarks for great Rhône Valley whites. This long version of Saint Peray is made from 20-year-old vines in Saint Peray on a south-facing terroir of decomposed granite and clay. This wine is matured for 16 months on the lees in 3-5 year-old barrels.

Tasting notes :

Colour: Golden

On the nose: A hint of peach and lemon.

On the palate: Hints of peach and lemon. A full-bodied texture with a lingering finish.

All elegance and finesse, this is a superb expression of the Marsannes grapes from this plot planted 20 years ago. A fine white for gourmet meals.

12bouteilles advice: This wine is best drunk now and can be cellared for up to 15 years. It goes perfectly with crayfish gratin, monkfish, white pudding or caramel-glazed walnut cake.

The François Villard estate was created in 1989 with the planting of the first vines. Today, the estate has 42 hectares divided into 6 appellations. 23 cuvées are produced at the estates, totalling 450,000 bottles. The vines are worked entirely by hand, and the estate has been certified organic since August 2022.
