Le Gallet Blanc 2022 is a red wine produced by Domine François Villard, in 100% Syrah on decomposed quartzite schist soils and with 20-year-old vines. Produced in the Côte-Rôtie appellation, Le Gallet Blanc is aged for 18 months in barrels, 20% of which are new and 80% of which are 2 to 4 years old.

Tasting notes:

Appearance: deep purplish red

Nose: aromas of black fruit and spices

On the palate: Silky texture and a well-integrated tannic structure, the flavours of black fruits and spices are expressed with intensity and elegance, supported by a balanced acidity that adds freshness.

12bouteilles advices: This wine should be drunk within a few years, and will go perfectly with grilled beef, venison or even tournedos.

The François Villard estate was created in 1989 with the planting of the first vines. Today, the estate has 42 hectares divided into 6 appellations. 23 cuvées are produced at the estate, with a total of 450,000 bottles. The vines are worked entirely by hand, and the estate has been certified organic since August 2022.
