In this 2024 vintage, So’Vive by Gérard Bertrand stands out as a light and refreshing white wine, perfect as an aperitif at just 9.5% alcohol. Here is our tasting note:
The Color: pale, with silvery highlights.
The Nose: very expressive, dominated by exotic fruit notes, white peach, and orange blossom—typical of Muscat. The Sauvignon brings hints of citrus and grapefruit.
The Palate: fresh and light, with a lovely roundness stemming from residual sugar. Fruity aromas burst on the palate, culminating in a sweet yet refreshing finish.
This 2024 vintage of So’Vive is made from a blend of Sauvignon and Muscat Petits Grains. The grapes are harvested at full maturity to capture their optimal aromatic expression. After gentle pressing, fermentation is partially halted to maintain the perfect balance between freshness and natural sweetness. The absence of malolactic fermentation preserves a vibrant acidity, giving So’Vive its thirst-quenching signature.
Elegantly crafted, this cuvée embodies the southern French art of living, inviting relaxation and conviviality: its intense aromas and light texture make it an ideal companion for fruit-based desserts, exotic salads, or mildly spicy dishes. It also works beautifully on its own as an aperitif, allowing you to savor its freshness and sweetness in full.
The 12bouteilles Advice: A delightfully refined white from Gérard Bertrand, best served well-chilled (8–10°C) to fully appreciate its aromatic palette. So’Vive 2024 is ready to be enjoyed right away, perfect for joyful and indulgent moments!
