Krug Rosé 26th Edition is a blend of 28 wines from 7 different years, the youngest of which dates from 2014, while the oldest dates from 2005. It was completed with 11% Pinot Noir of the year. Its final composition is 44% Pinot Noir, 30% and 26% Pinot Meunier.
At first sight, its subtle pale pink colour holds a promise of elegance.
On the nose, aromas of rose hips, cured ham, mulberries, redcurrant, peony, pepper and pink grapefruit.
On the palate, delicate flavours of honey, citrus and dried fruit with a long finish, enhanced by its fine bubbles complete the experience.
Aging in the bottle for at least seven years in the Krug cellars gives this Krug Rosé 26th Edition its unique expression and elegance.
Krug Rosé is surprising because it can easily play the role of a good red wine served at the table. This Champagne is a delicate blend of the wines of the year, reserve wines from the extensive library of the House from selected plots, and traditionally macerated Pinot Noir which brings a spicy character and structure. Aging for around six years in the cellars of Maison Krug gives Krug Rosé its refined elegance.
Krug Rosé 26th Edition combines a selection of wines from the plot of the year with vintages from six other years. From our reserve vinotheque, plot Chardonnays from the 2006 harvest bring roundness and smoothness to this edition of Krug Rosé, while a red Pinot Noir from the plots of Aÿ and Taissy strengthens it. This is the 26th time we have brought this dream back to life.
The advice for 12 bottles: Krug Rosé goes beautifully with your fish, white meats, game and foie gras as well as desserts that contrast liveliness and roundness such as passion fruit and lemon meringue.
